Future just dropped the real me. He’s an interesting artist to discuss when it comes to my belief that everything is an idea. The real me alludes to the belief that Future seems perpetually detached outside his music. This latest drop is a conceptual album but in a paradoxical way that most will miss.

See Future has always been the real him. Folks decided to make a story around his detachment and he just leaned into it. The real me is a more scruffy and rough around the edges album. It’s how the real Future likes to make music and you’re getting that more unfiltered unapologetic version. It’s classic Future, just more him.

Chronologically, we’re going in reverse and most will miss why. The eventful life Future has lived is unrelatable to most. It’s the type of life that’ll make most even more of a stoic operator. Once in the Future, we have to go back for the real me. It’s then that you’ll realize that it wasn’t the circumstances that changed the man, it was the man that changed the circumstances.
