Happy 4th of July America! On this symbolic day marking the Union’s 250th Birthday, I thought I’d share a presidential speech that befits the zeitgeist.
Richard Nixon’s 1972 ‘Look to the Future’ feels poignantly timely. He speaks of abundance, agency, self-dependence, spiritual values and moral clarity. It’s a speech that feels poignant about the future because it’s cognizant of the past and what makes America a special place. You will recognize its spirit in the vision and policies of President Trump. Here’s to far more than another 250 years of intellectual rigor and moral clarity.
